Goes to work at 2:24 ! It is absolutely freezing out today (-18c), and a great opportunity to put the Spyker KAT to real work! This machine/robot is simply Incredible. There is no other word for it. The "Spyker KAT" is designed from the ground up by Ryan Spyker, of the Spyker Workshop - with power, torque and agility in mind. This is a 3d printed tracked vehicle with an all belt transmission powered by dual 540 motors. The complete snowblower assembly is easily removable with two screws. The kit for the KAT is modular, and can be purchased in different pieces starting with a base model build ARTR (Almost Ready to Run). This was my first time operating this 8 channel machine, and some practice is required. I also have one of these blower attachments on a Kyosho Blizzard - and the difference in the two machines is massive. The Spyker KAT has so much power and grip, even over the aluminum tracks on my other machine. Ryans website claims the KAT can support up to a 50lb carrying capacity. Today, this machine had no problem with the heavy snow. It has Massive ground clearance to climb over even the toughest obstacles.. and todays 4 inches of snow was no challenge. For such a large, intricate machine - it is very light, but surprisingly can hold up to sub-zero temperatures. As mentioned above - todays video was filmed at -18c, and the snow was quite heavy. The dual 2s Lipo batteries are plenty enough to power the entire machine, including the snow blower, lights, dual servos, 3 esc's, and dual 540 motors. It is impressive. OUR NEW BOAT iS HERE! My son, Maurice and I get to unbox a brand new "Rock n Roll" version of the Traxxas Spartan.. what an epic decal scheme they chose! I think Maurice has a great reaction to this speed boat.. and really is able to showcase the feeling we ALL get when we unbox a beautiful new toy! Maurice is 4.5 years old now, and is really starting to take a keen interest in filming our show, and the hobby of radio control. As a father, I couldn't be more happy. In fact, we go one step further in this film, and remove the proper shaft to inspect and add grease. I demonstrate the importance of wearing gloves while applying grease, while Maurice is an excellent assistant to the Boat Doctor. I sure am happy with Maurice, as he is showing a keen attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. This is a prime time for me to lay a foundation for him that YOU CAN FiX ANYTHiNG. If a persona made it, chances are you can fix it! All you have to do is have a good mental attitude, attention to detail, the ability to think, and the ability to execute. THIS KIT IS A BLAST to RIP AROUND! What better way to break in a new LUXURY TANK KIT then to take it out in the woods and throttle down! I have been wanting to get this tank out in action for SO LONG on the trail.. and finally I was able to get it done today, with the help of my lovely wife. We headed out into the woods to get some sloppy action of this luxury style tank (featured in the FAST AND THE FURIOUS) - and see what it can do in NATURE! A full size RIPSAW is custom made, and can vary in price - but you can expect to pay at least $385,996 USD for one. A 1/10th scale version KIT is a MUCH Better bargain at about $1000 USD. They also offer an RTR version at a slightly higher price. I remember when Richard Hammond from GRAND TOUR first drive the RIPSAW around the streets of Dubai. He loved that he was driving a high-end luxury super tank. The full size version came with air conditioning, adjustable heated and cooled seats, winches, a light bar, and a "Thunderbird-style" steering wheel. Well.. the 1/10th version comes with almost all of that.. just the air conditioning is natural, and the adjustable heated / cooled seats are not an option. HAH! "PiG STUDiO" has come up with this fascinating likeness of the full size version that comes in kit form. I was fortunate enough to score one from a visit I had to Hong Kong back in 2016. It has been 2 seasons since I have turned this beast machine on.. and I must say that it fired right up, with no issues at all. The giant tires I have installed are Maxxis Trepadors from Kraken RC. The machine I mounted them to, is a Kraken "Vekta 5" race truck. I have a love/hate relationship with this vehicle.. and today, I absolutely LOVE IT! All except for that one darn rock on the track (which never should have been there).. this machine performed exactly the way I always dreamt it could! Incredible! I take it easy on the truck today.. because it has been a very long time since I have run it. I need to get used to throwing that much heavy weight around in the air, and landing properly. We are ready to Roll Out, and our trucks are full of fuel. These are 1/14 sized trucks.. powered by 2s or 3s lipo. (8v or 12v). Some of these trucks are pulling B-Train trailers .. hauling a full load. My truck is the ORANGE Tanker truck that took a beating. Looks worse that it is though.. and I look forward to repairing it. About 1/2 of use came away with some sort of damage on our trucks.. Playing in the mud with trucks has never been so much fun! These are purpose built model trucks that have been in a variety of competitions for 2 days. Now 3 1/2 tanks of fuel have run through this engine. I have read that it takes 5 tanks of fuel to run through these engines to see MAXIMUM Speed after the piston is properly seated. In the beginning I was rather light on the throttle - but as I progressed, I became trigger happy! The snow is slightly deeper, and I am powering this rig with a 3s Lipo battery. Im thinking a 4s would be perfect. This is a snowmobile kit that we built, manufactured by "Art Attack Snowmobiles". I am running a Tekin 1700kv Brushless motor and RX8 ESC. The track on the snow mobile is studded.. but in the deeper snow (fluffy stuff) it easily chews through - but unfortunately has a difficult time if it is too fluffy. The rider does not "sway" back and forth to shift weight (like in full scale) so it is a small challenge. I think a more powerful battery will help. Everett & I hit the road this morning bright and early. We were on a 3 hour drive to a city (in the province of Alberta, Canada) - called Edmonton. It is the capital city of our province, and a perfect place to hold a MiXED Event! An all-out spectacle of Radio Control rigs - everything from On Road Drift whips to Off Road trail trucks made an appearance today. Still being completed, this is a 1/14 scale GOLD MiNE. *NOTE* THIS IS NOT THE FINAL BUILD: I have two more sluice boxes currently shipping to the mine site. The 6" Power Sluice Box Setups are to arrive for our Two Rotary Drum Trommel catch bays. It is a 3 Stage Sluice setup. The Shaker is the Final Stage. This year I was invited to film some of the action for the viewers of RC ADVENTURES! Well - in this video.. the HPI BAJA 5T's, 1/5th Scale, GAS POWERED (2WD) and ready to go! Let's line them up and get these things RiPPiN" around! What a great opportunity for the RCSparks Studio to showcase a wonderful event and some MONSTER Machines of the Radio Control Hobby. These 2WD Trucks are OVERPOWERED for Maximum Torque and Acceleration! Most of these vehicles weigh over 20 Pounds.. and travel up to speeds of 60+ MPH ! I am always amazed at how well these drivers pilot such LARGE Trucks on a course that is half a city block long.. HAH! THiS ViDEO is film taken from 3 separate races over 3 days! The theme of todays video is TREAD LiGHTLY, & "Respect the Land". Firstly, I would like to thank all of the competitors who took part in this ULTiMATE SCALE CHALLENGE, and a special Shout Out to Club Leader, Trevor Rushford of [(RC/EC) Radio Controlled East Coast, USA] for his help in setting up this competition, hosted by Krazy Joe, and the Rude Boyz RC club in Alberta, Canada. **Note: These competitors were SHOWN THE RULES and had several weeks notice of these rules, prior to todays competition. Its a matter of who read the rules, and are aware of these "Lessons". These rules were once again read out loud prior to the competition starting. Everyone who was here was informed, out loud, by Krazy Joe, Prior to the event start that morning. From my understanding, Trevor once had a vision that there would be another set of "Rules" to Scale Trail Truck Competitions - and these rules would have to do with "Treading Lightly", and Respecting the Land you are trailing on. This video was created to cause awareness that we are all responsible for taking care of our Trail Parks. Large or Small Scale! We encourage all people who are hosting RC Trail Events, to consider these "Tread Lightly" ways of the hobby, so we are able to continue to make our lands available and usable for generations to come. It may seem silly to some viewers, or competitors - but more and more parks are closing their doors to RC's because of damage, garbage, and overuse. Every single person in this film are known for their integrity, and good hearts - and Respect for the LAND! All of them knew they were being filmed. WHAT AN AWESOME MACHINE!! I could only tell in the editing process that this engine STILL HAS MORE TO GO! WOW, what an upgrade over the stock engine, and pipe. This is fantastic..! The TMR Performance Engine & Pipe upgrade seems to be a must-have for this Primal RC Raminator, to take the truck "to the next level". As always, full transparency - the engine was sent to me by TMR, for me to enjoy on my own time. They didn't ask me to make a video - but I ALWAYS DO anyway! Hands down, my clutch was working as it should, and getting lots of torque off the starting line. Phew! The truck is starting to come together. This is a bit of a unique build/upgrade for me. I've never gotten all my upgrades from one website before. MY FiRST RUN with my new HPI VENTURE!! I am super stoked! I wanted to give you guys some great tips and tricks while crawling with my new truck - and testing the capabilities of this new machine. This truck is nice and compact, and really surpassed my expectations. The suspension flex is great - and the tires (for a stock tire) is pretty acceptable. The somewhat sticky compound really held up well - though I question how they would do in a colder environment. But really - there is no really good compound when the temperatures drop close to 0c. Another strong point of this truck is the wheel base. Though it is not as long as some others - this truck traverses the rocks without always getting caught up. Some of the improvements I would like to see on this truck will be the Steering servo, as well as the belly drag. The truck would benefit from a slightly higher belly, as to not get hung up on higher points. But - this is a personal choice, and of course my driving. Overall this truck did super well on a rather difficult and treacherous rock course! I would indeed suggest this truck to filks who are looking for a stable, and fun rig! Modifying it is all about personal choice, and "making it your own!" Creek Crossings, Puddle Jumping and all sorts of spring/summer time RC Mayhem is about to begin.. and I want to help those who are seeking out information on waterproofing their receivers. There are several methods to get this task done (I speak about a few in the video) but todays experiment is with “Acrylic Conformal Coating". The reason I am using this spray is for the ability to protect my electronics from mud, water, and all the other weather elements that I may encounter with this truck. I am also using it for the dielectric, and non-corrosive properties it has. Another bonus for me is that is easy to remove, if the need ever arose. I drove my RC Truck from Land, to Water, To Land Again! AHHH, SHE's RiDiNG the WAVES LiKE A TWiG!! Today is the second attempt at putting this Tribute Build to the BBC Toybota back into the "Mini-Channel" to attempt a full crossing. I have built an amphibious vehicle (a replica TOYOTA Land Cruiser LC70 UTE, and it is radio controlled. I have attempted this crossing before, but ran into a few problems on the maiden voyage. I built the truck as a kit, and expanded on my ideas from there. This truck is full 4x4, locked - and has a 2 speed Transmission. I have custom built this truck with full intention of mounting a GiANT REPLICA of a 250 HP HONDA OUTBOARD MOTOR - and seeing if I could cross a large body of water. Back in the days of TOP GEAR BBC - with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, our family would always gather to watch the show all the way from Canada! I was always inspired by the crazy stunts and activities those boys got up to.. and one that always stuck out in my mind - was the Toybota (Part Toyota, Part Truck), and the Truck Boat Challenge with the Nissan - and the 3 of them crossed the English channel to BEAT Sir Richard Branson's record time in an amphibious vehicle. It is -20 degrees outside, and the frigid air is crisp with fresh snowfall. What a great opportunity to take out two of my custom Radio Control trucks and clear a path. The cold weather certainly makes a film like this difficult, but I was still able to get some great shots of these machines in action. I have some work to do on the plow truck still, with a better lift system, and some snow chains. The 3D Printed Snowblower is mounted on a modified Kyosho Blizzard. Each one of these trucks has an individual sound system installed, as well as a whole mess of electronics to keep these beasts running in these conditions. Dom Bess got three wickets, with Stuart Broad also nabbing three. This meant the two test series ended level, following Pakistan's victory at Lord's the previous week.

After the disappointment of the opening Test at Lord's, England responded emphatically as they took on Pakistan once again at Headingley. The visitors were reduced to 79-7 before rallying up to a point to reach 174. England then followed up their bowling display with the bat, finishing the first day at Headingley 106-2.

Fresh from being on the winning side in Sunday's IPL final, Sam Billings returned to a rainy Canterbury to captain Kent against Somerset. The weather reduced the length of the match and Kent only had to score 88 to claim victory from 16 overs.
